Pat's Challenge

And CHALLENGE it was! I waited till tonight to even think about it. I have had the "bug" and not been able to get to creative. But the more I thought about it tonight, I realized I hadn't missed one yet, and I was able to hold my head up out of the trash can for longer periods of time, today. So I did this one in waves, just like the nausea! *wink* The challenge was to choose "winter" as the theme for the challenge. It could be a card or layout. I chose the layout, as I am falling behind on my son's books. I went back 18 years and chose some "winter" pictures, of when my sons were young. That was when snow was fun! The boys were at my parent's home on Christmas Day 1981. The journaling said, " Scott was 11 that year, Christoper 9, and Darrin 7. We were at Grandma & Grandpa Garland's on Christmas Day. Santa surprised us with an extra special present that year. Lots and Lots of snow. Notice, Chris' Duke of Hazard Shirt, Scott's Alfalfa hair, and Darrin's toothless grin. Isn't it great that we can go back to those wonderfully happy days with our pictures.

I accented the layout with snowflake brads and mini black brads for the snowman's coal eyes. I made 3 of these, one for each son. The layout size is 8.5 x 11. Thanks for looking.

Sorry to hear you've been sick. The 'bug' didn't affect your creativity! I love the page: colors, paper! Nice job, as always!
