Warm Weather

We had really warm weather today, frost this morning and then temps in the 80s this afternoon. I think a big patch of thunderstorms are rolling our way. I hope they slow down until after 4 on Sunday. Monday is my granddaughter's birthday party. She will be 21 on Monday. It will be so bittersweet. It was her Daddy that died in Feb. It is another "first" we have to face. Everything has changed since that day. Nothing will ever be the same again.

Pat's challenge
this week was to use black with just a pop of color. Well I kinda sorta went by the rules. Amber, my granddaughter loves black and pink, so for her party, I made a giant card for her. I hope everyone that comes to the party will sign it and add some good wishes to it. I used poster size card stock for the black base and white layers . The letters were cut using my cricut with the Plantin Schoolbook cartridge. The pink and black flower was made using wrapping paper and the tutorial found here.
