Two of my favorite things are Strawberries and Chocolate. So you know I just adore chocolate dipped strawberries. I plan on fixing some for Mother's Day lunch. Well I am going to fix them, whether I have enough to share at lunch, will be the question, cause I will tend to sample as I make them I am sure.
This week for Pat's challenge we were to make a spring card. Always when the Irises are in bloom, I start looking for road side markets, displaying the big juicy red berries. That is one of my favorite things about Spring. I happened upon THIS blog, and she has free strawberry box templates. She also has two different cards you can print out that coordinate with the boxes. I took the downloads a step farther and cut several of the berries out so I could layer them with the 3d dots. I also cut out the front of the 1st card, and layered it on black and green paper, and added a black polka dotted ribbon. I used the front of the 2nd card to use as the sentiment on the inside of the card, layering it also and added a cut out berry to finish it off. In the third picture of the inside of the card you can see that I used Sakura Glaze black pen to emphasize the seeds on the berries. I put the strawberry candies and kisses inside these, cutest little boxes. Everyone needs to hop over to her Blog - Schlosser Designs and see all the neat stuff she has to share.

What better way to celebrate spring than strawberries and chocolate. I love the way you have made the cards, outstanding as usual.*
Sheila,
Those look great!!! I love that you used the Sakura gel pen for the seeds and cut out the strawberries separate to give them dimension! Glad you enjoyed the template and download.
