And the summer nights are upon us down here in NC. The humidity is beginning to rise. Pat's Saturday challenge is about summer fun. One of my happiest memories is when the boys were little, and I showed them how to catch fireflies. since Scott's death, I reflect back a lot about their childhood. Good, wonderful, happy times.
I used Cricut's Stretch Your imagination cartridge to cut out the canning jar and the fireflies. I used Plantain School house for the grass. I cut the canning jar out of the clear acetate, then the jar lid out of silver foil paper and roughed it up a little so it would look like one of the old "timey" type lids. I adhered the jar with3d dots, also the fireflies underneath the jar, and in the night skies. the others in grass were just stuck on. I hope you get out this summer and catch some fireflies. Be young again.
And yes always remember to catch and RELEASE those little wonders.

Such a fun card! We got our first sighting of 'lightning bugs' last week! Love them!
Love, love, love this card!! I remember those hot southern summer nights when we caught lightning bugs - I would keep the jar overnight in my bedroom so I could watch the "lightning". Then in the morning I'd take them back outside. Thanks for reminding me of such a great memory.
