Emily's Birthday

Today would have been my friend Emily's Birthday. But to family and friends it IS still her birthday. We keep her alive through memories and always in our hearts. Last year I showed you her memory garden that can be seen here. All the same flowers are blooming, so please go visit again. There is one exception, I have a new flower added, because of a special friend Janet, that contacted her friend, Dick Henley, that owns and operates Poplar Creek Perennials. He graciously gave to me a day Lily named Rose Emily.

I petted and talked to the bulbs, and could not wait for her to bloom. She finally did. Here she is in all her beauty. See the yellow center, to me it symbolizes the light that Emily walked into. Thank you Dick, Janet, and thank you Emily for allowing me to know and love you. And to God who has blessed me with all the special friends I have in my life.

hi Sheila, what a beautiful flower for Emily's garden. It signifies life in glorious beauty. It is there even when you do not see it, and one day you will see her again as a beautiful spirit of God's love.

that was such a nice gesture. the flower is beautiful. the yellow reminds me of emily's smile. she could light up a room when she smiled. we miss her at church, but knowing she is having a great birthday with our lord and savior gives us a peace of mind!

As I look at the flower I see the "yellow" center as a HALO surrounding Emily's head. She is the angel sent to you from heaven. I know this is a hard day for you..keep your spirit up!!

What a special touch in Emily's memory! I know it is a sad day for you, but know she looks down upon with her angel wings on and says to you....keep your faith strong and we will smile and talk again one day!
My prayers for you during this difficult time.

What a sad but beautiful story at the same time. You both were blessed to have each other. She lives forever in the hearts of those that knew and loved her.
